GOTHAM: Season Three Premiere

It's a quandary. Is Gotham supernatural or not? They try pretty hard to find chemical reasons for all the evil going on, and I guess nobody's allergic to kryptonite (yet), but it's certainly creepy and borderline supernatural, so what the hell.

One of my favorite things about this series is the look. I think the art directions are fabulous although to be truthful I couldn't quite figure out what era it was supposed to be in during the first season. It was a little Dick Tracey-ish, non?

The love of Jim Gordon's life is now gone but there's a possible new love interest in Reporter Valerie Vale because of course broken-hearted Jim has taken a disliking to her.

Psycho-ex Barbara and her on-again-off-again girlfriend Tabitha have opened their own club and are either being shaken down or doing the shaking down. Fish Mooney is back, although she's lost her charm after season one. Wondered for about 30 seconds where they were going with the Bruce Wayne clone but uh, that's kind of obvious. The Penguin still rocks, and it's always a treat to see Selena. Kind of wondering about Ivy though...

This show dances on the edge of outrageous and silly, and it's best when it's on the WTF side. What do you think?
