INTERVIEW with AMANDA JONES (Dark Angel)


We got really lucky today and snagged a short interview with author Amanda Jones!


SC:. Tell me a little bit about your main character of this book.

AJ: Lucifer Morningstar is the ultimate fallen angel.  Dark Angel is really the story of how and why he fell, and what has happened since!  Can the biggest, baddest fallen angel of all redeem himself for love, or will he wind up destroying the woman he adores?  Luc is a complex guy – he’s dealing with guilt, feelings of unworthiness, the desire to be loved, and a deep need to find a new future.  I think most of us can relate to the inner turmoil – just not on such an apocalyptic scale!

SC:Do you believe in the paranormal and if so, do you have an experience you can share?

AJ:  We have so many stories from every culture describing paranormal events that make it hard to dismiss as a possibility.  One of my family members had an odd experience after the death of a loved one.  The deceased loved hummingbirds – around the time they passed away, a hummingbird showed up in my family member’s garden (that had never happened before).  It seemed like a nice sign – sort of a little “I’m ok, don’t worry, I’m still here” moment. 

SC: What titles are you working on now that you can tell us about?

AJ: Book two in The Fallen Chronicles – Broken Angel - is being released in May.  Broken Angel tells the story of Bataryal, a fallen angel we meet in book one who went through a horrifying experience after his fall from Heofon.  Bataryal has to face his demons with the help of our friendly neighborhood vampire – Mara.  I’m also putting the finishing touches on Forbidden Angel (book three).
