PRINCE OF HONOR by NANCY GIDEON

Up today is Prince of Honor House of Terriot Book One by Nancy Gideon. Here's the cover for you, it's by Cover Artist: Patricia Lazarus:

Wondering what it's about?
The hunter becomes the prey, a prisoner to his own desire . . .

Turow . . .
Strong, silent man of integrity content to serve his new king as a prince in the turbulent shape-shifter House of Terriot. A tracker and relentless hunter, he’s used to running trails alone until charged with returning a traitor to their mountain top home to face the unforgiving judgment of their clan.  On the run with the bad girl he’s loved forever, the choice between duty and desire has never been more difficult        . . . or deadly.

Could the bargain made to save their lives become reality?
Sylvia . . .

Manipulative schemer or victim caught between a mother’s ambition and a rogue prince’s lust for power? Trust is almost as foreign as the idea of love, but to save herself from certain death, she must risk both on the good man who deserves them . . . from someone worthy. Trapped by the only one who believes in her goodness, will she betray him and run for her life . . . or stay and destroy him with a long hidden truth?

SC: Tell me a little bit about your main character of this book.

NG: It's no secret that I love redeeming a villain. Everyone adores a bad boy turned hero, but convincing a reader to love a villainess as a heroine is a tougher battle.  Sylvia Terriot is definitely worth the uphill climb.  A schemer with a wicked tongue and a list of conquests, trying to bag the prince who'll become the next  king of their shifter clan to aid in her witch of a mother (literally, a witch!) in a bid for control, her one vulnerability is also her way to salvation. She doesn't recognize her rare weakness as love when her clan's most honorable prince is challenged with taking her home in chains . . . until forced to choose between her freedom and saving his life.  With a past filled with surprising darkness and magic,  her struggle to claim the light she longs to find in the arms of her mate demands an almost insurmountable sacrifice.  Here's how a Goodreads reader described their Taming of the Shrew relationship:  " A prince. A traitor. A blood feud. Mix them all together with healthy doses of drama, intrigue, and action, and you have the beginnings of an edge of your seat, roller-coaster of a book.  Turow is everything you want in a hero and Sylvia's journey from villain to heroine is brilliantly crafted. 5-Stars!"  Her road to redemption is definitely a wild and sizzling ride!  Besides, naughty girls always get the best dialogue!

SC: Do you believe in the paranormal and if so, do you have an experience you can share?
NG: The hot creatures I write about? I wish!  I did have some ghostly encounters when I was a child with the spirit of the old woman who died in our house. She used to mess with my oldest sister and I on the stairs, tripping her and making me think I could float down them. I didn't find out that the former owner had died falling down those stairs until I was an adult, and my sister and I brought up our strange experiences for the first time. Watch that third step from the top! Our family dog was terrified of the second floor and wouldn't stay up there with us unless we had him on a leash.  I still vividly recall the sensation of moving down those steps without ever touching them. Oh, goosebumps!

SC: What titles are you working on now that you can tell us about?
NG: I've just finished the first draft of PRINCE OF POWER, the second in the four book "House of Terriot" series which follows Turow's brother Colin.  It's got a planned release in late January! The stakes keep getting higher and the Terriot  princes hotter! I just might be able to get the other two out in 2017 as well. These books feature characters from my "By Moonlight" series, which fans of those books should love, but  each of these titles can be read as a stand alone.
