Rejecting her "be a good girl and follow orders" directive, Nava unleashes an alter ego guaranteed to hook their celebrity target and drive Rohan crazy. No downside-until she finds herself up against Rohan's past, the Brotherhood's antiquated thinking, and her own identity issues, turning her personal life into a bomb that could blow up the entire operation.

Sparkly and deadly; it's a plan.

Excerpt #1:
Looping my fingers into his belt, I jerked his hips to mine. Rohan’s breath caught and when I brushed my lips over the shell curves of his ear, his whole body went tense. “Prove you’re worth it, baby.” Then I pushed him away, stalking off without a look back, mostly sure that he followed.
The second we got inside the empty elevator, Rohan shoved me up against the wall. I groped for the third floor button, leaning into him. He ran his hands feverishly over my body, hot tingles shivering through my breasts like a sexed-up call and answer. The focused hunger in his expression had me craving more, except my rapid breathing wasn’t all from arousal.
Given the barely banked rage evident in the tense bunch of Rohan’s shoulders, the feeling was mutual. Hopefully, he’d show no mercy in orgasm form and not body count, though I couldn’t promise the same right now.
I bit his earlobe, wanting to hurt him.
Rohan shot me a cavalier smile in response. Holy crap. My knees buckled.
The sprint to my room was a blur.
The second the door slammed shut behind us, Rohan edged his face in close to mine, his palm ghosting my cheek in the barest caress that sent slivery shimmers tumbling through me.
I raised my fingers to my mouth, not realizing what I’d done or that I ran them over my lips until Rohan tracked the movement, his eyes glittering dangerously.
His tongue flicked out, wetting his lower lip. He swayed in toward me and–

“No.” Taking his hands in mine, I forced them behind me. Forced him to hold me there, his rings biting into my skin. Forced him to make a decision; play by my rules or go.

INTERVIEW with KIRA SHAYDE, (Ancient Heat)

We've got a special treat for you today at Supernatural Central. An interview with author Kira Shayde, who stopped by to tell us about her book Ancient Heat. See that cover? You can tell something steamy is going on there.
SC: Tell me a little bit about your main character of your book Ancient Heat.
KS: The heroine of Ancient Heat is an ordinary woman who finds herself in an extraordinary situation—she wakes up in another woman’s body. Worse, the other woman is a werelion. Bad enough Nicole now has to eat raw meat and has killer claws that erupt from her fingers whenever she gets mad (which tends to be frequently considering how the other werelions treat her), but she’s facing some serious werelion enemies. Also new is the vicious telekinetic talent she can’t quite control. On the flipside, she has the hero by her side, a werelion with an extreme aversion to humans who’s none too pleased to find a human inhabiting his precious intended mate.
SC:  With all this telekinetic activity going on in your novel, we have to you believe in the paranormal and if so, do you have an experience you can share?
KS: I definitely believe in the paranormal. Alternate universes, psychic abilities (although not to the same extent as what we find in fiction), communication with spirits. Our five senses are actually rather limited, so we should never assume that just because we can’t “sense” something, it doesn’t exist.
SC:  Interesting perspective. Since we can’t read your mind, can you tell us what titles are you working on now?
KS: I am working on Ancient Bond, the follow-up book to Ancient Heat, which introduces falcon shifters and reunites us with werelions from the first book. And I’m working on the third novella in my Primal Shifters series, which is set in Africa with lion and hyena shifters.
SC: Thanks for stopping by today. Let's learn more about your latest book.

Excerpt 2

Sander eyed the irate woman standing before him. From the moment she arrived, she’d baffled and frustrated him. Gone was his reserved and polished intended. In her place stood a creature who screamed, pouted, grimaced, slapped his sister, and nearly destroyed his brother-in-law’s procreativity. She was brash and out of control. An evolutionary step backward.
And yet…fascinating.
He’d never been close to a human. His kind blended in with their kind, worked alongside them, but remained insular. Safe. Hidden. Occasionally studying them from afar. Never interacting beyond a polite nod or greeting.
Why would Marseille switch with a human? To punish him? Humiliate him?
He’d find out why and promise to be more attentive. He had no intention of meeting new potentials. He’d chosen her. Marseille Renaud.
She was strong and graceful. And useful.
He clenched his jaw. Damn it, his intended wasn’t a mere tool. She deserved more respect than that. More than a vision of beauty, Marsi saved their hides during the last Follower attack. His clan needed her. Although her talent wasn’t the reason he chose Marseille, he’d be a fool to let her go now.
Was his sister right? Was the switch a mere ploy, a demand for more control?
“Let’s go, everyone,” he said, forcing the what-ifs from his mind. “I want to get to Nicole’s home by this afternoon.”
The woman in question stared at him. “Exactly where are we?”
“Minnesota. Outside Minneapolis.”
That seemed to relax her somewhat. He guided her to the foyer where they nearly collided with his brother, who’d raced down the stairs with a backpack slung over his shoulder.
“Gotta bring my books along so I can study on the ride.” Tyran tore into the hallway ahead of them.
“He’s a college student?”
“Medical student.” Sander ushered Nicole into the utility room and opened the door to the garage. “Makes sense since he’s one of the healers for our clan.”
“Uh-huh.” She jerked to the side as Calia sashayed past on her way out of the house. “Is a clan like a pride?”
“No, a related group of families. Because our numbers are few, matings are arranged between clans. Once I met Marseille, I didn’t bother with meeting any remaining potentials.”
And now Marseille was gone. Except she wasn’t. She watched him with big dark eyes, her luscious mouth slightly puckered in contemplation. Devastating even in the shapeless sweater the human woman had selected to wear, something obviously dragged from the back of the closet. He’d never seen it before.
She tilted her head, and her long black hair draped over her shoulder. Hair he loved to twist in his hands as she lay beneath him.
“So what’s your talent?” she asked.
“What?” He shook off the sensual vision. “Um, my physical strength and power.”
“I’m the most feline of us,” Calia boasted, her hand on the door of a dark sedan. “Exceptional jumper and climber, and I always land on my feet.”
Sander leaned in close to Nicole. “Within reason. I wouldn’t throw her out a ten-story window, although sometimes I’d like to.”

His sister glared. “I heard that.”

Tagline: Morgan’s feminist books didn’t prepare her to deal with the dashing Gabriel and the land of Ahe’ey

Book Description:

"A thoughtful look at empowerment for women."

"A rollicking trip into a fantasy world complete with dragons, love and strength, and ideas that really get you thinking."

"Highly recommended for all ages."

Morgan is a dreamer, change maker and art lover. She is a feisty, slightly preachy, romantic feminist full of contradictions and insecurities. Morgan uncovers a world where women have the power, and where magic is no longer just a figment of her wild imagination. Sounds like a dream, but it may, in fact, turn into a nightmare.

The world of the Ahe'ey challenges and subverts her views about gender, genes, and nature versus nurture.

The strong and uninvited chemistry between her and the dashing Gabriel makes matters even more complicated. His stunning looks keep short-circuiting her rational mind.

Books2Read        Amazon        BN       iTunes     Kobo

"She believed in magic—the magic of places, the magic of people, the magic of coincidences, serendipity, and fortune. She enjoyed wandering through the world with the open mind and curiosity of a four-year-old child. In her world the mystical, mythical, and magical inhabited the same space and time as the ordinary and the practical. At Bethesda Terrace, she always felt close to a source of magic and creativity. It was as if she were tapping into the place where dragons, angels, gods, sorceresses, and demons came to life."
"She killed him instantly. The young woman plunged her hand into his wound and licked the blood. Once again, she dipped her hand into the blood and used four fingers to paint stripes on her face. Sky’s defiant eyes locked on Iblis."
"Debilitating guilt crushed Gabriel every time he interacted with Morgan. The Ange’el’s affection for the human was weakening his mandate to control her movements and influence her decisions. His task was, once again, to deceive and manipulate. He seemed destined to betray the confidence of those he held most dear."
“You know, it would be much less trouble if you were willing to bat your magic eyelashes.”

"Young Sathian was flirtatious, titillating, quick-witted, and brilliant. He left a trail of broken hearts across the land as he teased and taunted his victims with his beauty and charm. Both women and men succumbed to his joie de vivre and panache as he was an untypical Ange’el that carried the sunshine in his smile and in his eyes."

"A bracing mix of emotionally and intellectually honest fantasy." - Kirkus Reviews

"This book is a thoughtful look at empowerment for women. At the same time, it’s a rollicking trip into a fantasy world complete with dragons, love and strength, and ideas that really get you thinking. This book is highly recommended for all ages." - HUGEOrange

"They're flawed, real, and honest characters that can be easily related to. Ahe'ey is the kind of novel society needs to read, to create inspiration and to make people think. Ahe'ey is daring, complex, and honest. A must-read novel that tackles heavy and real topics with a mix of serious and humorous, charm and tragedy." - Reader's Favorite - 5 Star Review

"Ahe’ey contains a richly imagined world that raises complicated and timely questions about our own.

Jamie Le Fay’s Ahe’ey is an action-packed love story that puts forth a nuanced vision of gender stereotypes, body politics, and the dark side of seeking perfection." - Foreword Clarion - 4 Star Review
